Sous le Manteau perfumes are based on authentic aphrodisiac recipes found in 19th century pharmaceutical books.
Since the ancient times, the recipes of love potions were secretly preserved. Ancient formulas and centuries-old legends, they were meant to create desire and be irresistible elixirs. In the 19th century, these potions were recorded in pharmaceutical books. Collected by Sous le Manteau creators Olivia Bransbourg and Frédéric Blanchard these recipes were modernised by the great perfumer Nathalie Feisthauer, who has created many successful perfumes.
Poudre Impériale (imperial powder, kuninglik puuder, имперскaя пудра) is a woody oriental ambery scent.
Perfumer Nathalie Feisthauer dressed it with bergamot oil, elemi oil, cardamom oil, black pepper oil, pink pepper oil, lily of the valley, jasmine abs, incense oil, heliotrope, benzoin resin, tonka bean abs, cedarwood oil, musk, and vanilla.
